Kindergarten FebruaryHappenings!
February may be the shortest month of the year, but it is by far the BUSIEST! Read to here to find out all the great things we learned and did:
Come see us in February
- We learned all the letters in the first half of the Superkids! We now know all the vowels and can read many words, both simple (like cat) and harder (like discuss)
- We are learning that adding means bringing things TOGETHER. We are working on writing addition sentences, listening to addition story problems, and memorizing addition facts through 5. It is very exciting!!
- We are learning about different types of prayer. We can pray with our hands folded, with our hands outstretched, with our eyes closed, we can sing and dance, we can say a prayer that is memorized, or we can share our thoughts and feelings with God. We are using all these types of prayer during Lent. During Lent we are learning about the different colors of Lent, and what they mean to us and what Jesus did for us.
- We are learning about our US Symbols and making a really cool book!
- We celebrated the 100th day of School by having a fashion show of shirts we made with 100 items on them, plus having lots of cool learning .
- We celebrated Valentine's Day by sharing valentines with our friends and doing lots of Valentine learning.
